I designed this print in Brooklyn and worked with block printers in Bagru, India to print the cloth. The Pillow is then sewn by nonprofit organization in India who employs disadvantaged women.

Block printing is a laborious process whereby the artisan dips a hand carved wood block (made by another artisan!) in a dye or pigment, allows the fabric to dry in the sun, then hand washes out excess dye/pigment to achieve a finished fabric.

By buying this product, you are supporting fair trade, sustainable, ethically sourced products! Amazingly soft fabric, great hand feel, and beautiful on your couch, chair or bed! This pillow cover will last for years and years to come!
